We now host Factorio!

Factorio servers are live. Twelve plans, from 1GB at A$3.75 a month up to 16GB at A$60.00, running on our own hardware in Australia. Vanilla or Space Age, your choice at checkout, and you can switch later from your control panel without losing the world.

The plans
Factorio starts small. A new factory with a few friends runs happily on the 1GB plan, and the plans go up a gigabyte at a time to 8GB, then in twos to 16GB. The plan names are the science packs, in the order you research them, from Automation to Promethium. When the base sprawls, upgrade and your world comes with you.
Every plan is A$3.75 per GB, the same rate as every other game we host. These are the ongoing prices, not an introductory rate.
Your first month is 20% off on monthly billing, applied automatically at checkout. Or pay up front and take 10% off three months, 15% off six or 20% off a year. Those prices are rounded down to a whole dollar, so you always save at least that much. The two offers don't stack.
Plans up to 7GB come with 10GB of storage and plans from 8GB come with 20GB. A Factorio save is small, so that goes a long way. If a long running factory needs more, open a support ticket and we'll expand it at no extra cost.
What is different about a Factorio server
Vanilla or Space Age. Space Age is Wube's paid expansion, with its extra planets, quality and elevated rails. Pick it at checkout or leave it off, and change your mind later with one switch on the Config tab. Your world is kept either way. While Space Age is on, every player needs to own it to join. A vanilla server takes anyone who owns Factorio.
Mods come from the official mod portal. Search it from the Mods tab and click Install. The first time, your server asks for your factorio.com username and the service token from your profile page, because Wube's portal only hands mods to a logged in account. Anything a mod needs comes with it, and when your players join, the game offers to match their mods to your server's.
Your first start is quick. The server itself is a small download from factorio.com and your world is made on the spot. Give it a minute, and after that a start takes seconds.
The console is Factorio's own. Type a command on the Console tab and the reply comes back. players, admins, kick, ban, promote and save all work from there, and you don't need the slash. Type a plain sentence and it goes to everyone on the server as chat.
It restarts once a day. At 4am Brisbane time, your server restarts and takes any new version of Factorio. Players have to be on the same version as the server, and Steam updates them without asking, so a server left behind is one nobody can join. You can move the time or turn it off on the Settings tab.
No player limit unless you set one. Factorio doesn't cap a server by default and neither do we. The limit is on the Config tab if you want one, along with the server name, the password, autosaves and whether the factory pauses when nobody is on.
Joining is an address and a port. Players open Multiplayer, click Connect to address and type the line from your Overview page. Or switch on the public listing and they can find your server by name in the game's own browser. Connecting to Your Factorio Server walks through both.
What is the same
Everything else. The control panel, the file manager, SFTP, backups and support work the way they do for a Minecraft server, because it's the same panel and the same team. So does the 7-day money-back guarantee. Automatic daily backups come with every plan from 3GB up, and every plan can take a backup whenever you like.
Nine games now
Minecraft is still what most of our customers run, and nothing about those plans has changed. Factorio makes nine games on the same hardware, the same panel and the same support. Come and see the lot at mchosts.com.au/games.
