About Society: Sunlit Valley
Money is the progression here. You ship goods to earn it, then spend it on tools and farm upgrades that let you earn faster, which is the Stardew loop rather than the Minecraft one. Crops change with the season and the Skull Cavern resets daily, so something always has a clock on it.
